I would like an xbox360, but with all the hardware issues that aren't resolved yet ... hell no. My brother-in-law already had three die on him.

Re: Trading: Wii for 360

I've been contemplating doing the same thing. I still haven't beaten Zelda, about 35 hrs into it and haven't touched Paper Mario. Just not into the Wiimote as much as I thought I would be and with the PS3 and Xbox down in price, I should be able to get either for basically free.

Re: Trading: Wii for 360

Thank god. The Wii is primarily used for all of the Nintendo titles and little else, the 360 on the other hand gets a lot of use with games like Bioshock, Beautiful Katamari and others. I have to say I am jealous of your RockBanding and GuitarHeroing I havn't been able to find a copy for weeks in my area.

Re: Trading: Wii for 360

Bah:( I wished you lived closer. I would totally trade you our 360... it has barely been used! This 1st year has had its share of great games, but not enough really, just like the 360's 1st year, and similarly this PS3's 1st year.

No doubt the 360 is the more core gaming oriented console, but I think you could see a huge increase of those type of games on the Wii over the next year. Development on nearly all fronts has shifted to the Wii. Even Carmack of iD is now on board with Nintendo's new market approach. This 1st year has been great for sales, but to continue doing gangbusters they'll need the games from not only the 1st Party side, but 3rd Parties as well... and that means more than shitty party games for us core gamers.

I'm certainly not giving up on my Wii yet, especially with Smash Bros. less than 3 months away. Next Xmas season, when all consoles are on their 2nd or better year, will be the truly deciding holiday. I wonder if the Wii will ever be a core gaming system, but I highly doubt it's reign of sales is going to be over anytime soon. It may be distancing us, but it's bringing tons of new people in at the same time at an alarming rate.

It'll be interesting to watch at the very least.

Re: Trading: Wii for 360

I use my son's Xbox Live account -- he named his after his EQ2 character, Scurvsnicker. Like you I don't see anything else coming out any time soon that I want (although the Wii Zapper looks fun). I see myself transitioning to a 360 pretty soon.

Re: Trading: Wii for 360

My XBL tag is hallower1980. Most of my 360 games are single-player, but maybe we can play Halo co-op or an arcade game sometime.

Re: Trading: Wii for 360

My girl and I were having a discussion earlier today while watching t.v. ads about various video games. I've seen PS3 games I want to play (Assassin's Creed being high on that list), Wii games that look interesting (mario, among others), and 360 games that I would love to try (Mass Effect, Halo). I can't figure out which system I would rather go with. The Wii seems more fun-oriented and the kids would like it. The 360 seems like it would be interesting, and more gamer oriented, with some solid titles. And Sony already has my loyalty, as I've owned both of the other playstations, along with spending a lot of time with EQ. I'm so torn that I almost want to buy them all, but having time to play multiple consoles along with an MMO just doesn't seem possible. I guess I'll have to see what you have to say abou the 360 once you get it, as you make the Wii sound like a waste of money.

Re: Trading: Wii for 360

Congratulations, you have just learned a very valuable lesson about Nintendo game platforms. :)
