I think it's a great idea. I'd love to see a singular resource for input and information alike. The moderation might prove to be a headache if just anyone can post, but could well be worth it in the long run.

I think this is a great idea. I wonder how many of the Industry Professionals can do this kind of thing independently. But as a Gamer I would love to jot down my ideas and thoughts about MMOs.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I'd jump in on this once it started up. All I have to say past that is what guahanweb said... the moderation might get tricky if everyone can have input. Might want to start out small and then work your way up, or have multiple moderators.

Yeah, there will be multiple moderators. :) I see it as being more light hearted and fun, with just news and images shared rather than long form opinion text as that is what Tumblr excels at. Take a peek at something like Eat Sleep Draw for an example:

I would be interested in helping out, I like the idea but also think it would work as an aside to entries made by regulars who identify as being a very specific sort of individual within the development - consumer - management - academia arena.
Really like the idea of an entry where a developer posts a view on a facet of an MMO, followed by a casual player, a hardcore player, a community manager (who may or may not be part-developer and a player) and so on...

Why not use Posterous's group blog feature? Just a thought. Then if you don't like the UI, set it up to autopost to another blog :) I'm about to do something similar for my family to share pics and what not instead of emailing 235254235234234 giant pics.

Well, increasing exposure and the like is nice, of course. So, absolutely.
I've dropped off blogging a bit - life has been... rough, and turbulent. So, I've been reevaluating things a lot. Think I'm getting ready to pick it up again. I can also focus some of more MMO-related topics toward a blog like this, and leave my own site focused more on communications technologies and such.
